JAIVA
The ultimate afrodance experience.
We are excited to launch our very first collaborative African dance camp in Dublin, organised by Favour Odusola aka @officialpak founder of UMA and Lapree Lala aka @luntu_love founder of SouthSide Moves.
Favour Odusola (Proud African King) is a Nigerian Irish multidisciplinary artist and having worked across several contexts from traditional dance & percussion to commercial work, the collaboration with Lapree Lala, a professional dance artist and vibe creator, solidifies the unity and support towards the growth of African dance culture in Ireland.
Jaiva is curated with the hopes to share African styles and culture. Jaiva means to dance in Zulu slang, a language from South Africa. This camp is all about the ultimate afrodance experience that will entail cultural talks, african food, showcases, workshops and battles. We aim to bring the most authentic African experience to you. A dance convention completely focused on bringing under one roof, different styles of afro dance styles where people get to meet, dance with, learn battle and interact with experts, creators and of the culture.
What to expect
African Food, Cultural Discussions, Workshops, Battles & more.
